See you Tuesday night

If we got your RSVP you got this email reminder...

Hi. Got your RSVP for Tuesday's ScreenplayLab event. We have a fantastic evening planned! You can park in the public garage next to Crate & Barrel for $2 after 6pm. There's no program tonight, so if you have to arrive late it's ok. If you won't be able to make it please email me a note so we won't print a badge for you.

As usual at ScreenplayLab, at check-in you will be asked to sign a release:

How to work a room...

At a mixer, the objective is to present yourself truthfully in the most successful light possible and avoid saying anything that could be interpreted as a complaint (because it will be perceived as lack of success). On your way to the event think about what recent successes you've had, whether major or minor, so you have something positive ready to share with others you meet.

Feel free to introduce yourself to anyone. If you're in a conversation you'd like to end, excuse yourself by saying you see someone else you need to talk to. When you arrive please say hello to your hosts (that's me and Gabrielle) and also say goodnight when you leave.

ScreenplayLab mixer on Sept. 25th...

If we stay home we might as well be in Kansas, right? Don't miss our industry mixer coming up in Beverly Hills at Sharky's on Sept. 25th, 6-9pm. It's a party! Drop by after work for cheap margaritas and Mexican food with writers, actors and producers. Sharky's Mexican Grill, 435 N. Beverly Dr., Beverly Hills. Free with RSVP online at www.ScreenplayLab.com.

What's ScreenplayLab?

ScreenplayLab is more than 2,000 screenwriters, actors, and filmmakers. Robin Rowe and Gabrielle Pantera, the founders of ScreenplayLab, are writer-producers developing projects based on best-selling novels. For more than two years, we've been hosting weekly ScreenplayLab events in Hollywood. We host workshops, industry mixers, and present talks with industry VIPs.

Three dozen actors and many writers have signed agent representation as a result of ScreenplayLab. Variety reported that a screenplay read in ScreenplayLab's actors workshop has been set up as a $20M feature. To enter a script to be considered for ScreenplayLab's workshop series costs $39.
