Free Beverly Hills Mixer Jan 26th

Welcome to 2009! I hope you had a fantastic holiday season and feel eager to get back to work.

My New Year's resolution is to produce four feature films in 2009. I'm also producing a talk show hosted by Gabrielle Pantera. And, I'm working on films and shows for ScreenPlayLab members. I'm editing with Final Cut Pro and an advanced 3D editing system called Piranha. DreamWorks Animation, where I had an office, has announced that all it's future films will be produced in 3D.

My New Year's resolution for ScreenPlayLab is to make interviews with executives, producers, directors and actors available online. Many members who can't make it to our events have asked for this, and it's more Green. Just last week, I talked with the heads of several television networks in taped one-on-one interviews. I'm shooting more footage than I can edit without help. Enthusiastic volunteers willing to help with editing at my location in Beverly Hills may email me.

All this additional production and editing is going to curtail my live events producing. Although ScreenPlayLab will continue to host mixers and screenings, I'm not planning any speaker events or live shows for 2009. Special thanks to our friends at Raleigh Studios for being there for us and to the many other theaters that helped us present free live events with Hollywood VIPs for the last three years.

ScreenPlayLab Free Linux Laptops to Artists...

I'm installing Linux on our first two free laptops now. Will give those out next week. I've received several more surplus Windows 2000 laptops. After testing them, I'll install the latest Linux software and give them to deserving actors, writers or musicians who desperately need a free laptop. There's a waiting list. If you have an obsolete surplus laptop, please give it to me to rebuild and give to a struggling artist.
