I was bace at TCA this week, the twice-yearly event where networks promote their upcoming shows to television critics. Last week it was the cable networks. This week is broadcast networks. I got to talk with Jay Leno, who talked about his plans for The Jay Leno Show. "There is no NBC," says Leno. "It's a bunch of trailers in Burbank. The real NBC is the affiliates. We want to provide a strong lead-in to local news."

I also got to chat with Nick Willing about Alice, his re-interpretation of Alice in Wonderland along the lines of what he did with Tin Man to the Wizard of Oz.
