Watch Hope for Haiti Tonight at 8pm

George Clooney's mega-benefit for Haiti earthquake victims is tonight from 8pm to 10pm on all television channels. This will be the biggest telecast of all time, broadcasting to over 1 billion people. George says if you can even give $5 that would help. Read my story about it here:

"Spartacus" Premieres Tonight on Starz at 10pm...

Tonight, immediately after the Clooney's "Hope for Haiti Now", is the premiere of the television series "Spartacus" on Starz. It's a beautifully filmed, but very violent and very sexy story of the gladiator slave who stood up to Rome. It stars Lucy Lawless as a powerful Roman woman of limitless ambition. If you like "300" you should like "Spartacus". Tonight on Starz at 10pm.

When I saw Lucy Lawless last week I asked her if she was still uncomfortable shooting sex scenes and how it felt being in "Spartacus". She said that the Romans had slaves as a close personal extension of themselves, that having a slave next to her in practically every scene during "Spartacus" feels very different from the broad personal space that people are accustomed to today. She has become very confident. Playing a powerful Roman obviously agrees with her.

ScreenPlayLab Mixer Last Night...

For those that braved the rain and who hadn't left town for Sundance, we had a great time at the ScreenPlayLab mixer last night. Some of the people there included producer Jan Coleman, whose series "The Buried Life" premiered this week to good numbers on MTV. Jan says please keep watching. Writer Chad Kultgen, a past ScreenPlayLab speaker and neighbor, gave me a great suggestion for how to describe my "J.C" series in just two words, as "Christian X-Men". At the Regency Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills we had a great bunch of producers, writers, directors, actors, film financiers, and one agent. If you missed it, catch us around this time next month.

Love you guys!
